No excuse to undo 11 months of hard work!
After making a decision and a commitment to living a healthy lifestyle, there are always times which will test your will power and strength none more then Christmas it takes dedication and power in your beliefs to say no to one too many glasses of wine and surviving the Christmas parties the temptation of sweet, sugary desserts and alcohol are at the highest during this period.
This festive season we are going to help you through the social engagements with tips and tricks to keep temptation at bay and everyone happy and healthy heading into the new year.
Living and eating a nutritionally balanced yet varied diet, keeping active on a daily basis and avoiding the main dangers in our diet the big 4 caffeine, refined sugar, alcohol and processed foods can lead to a stronger, leaner, healthier, and, hopefully, longer life.
We are in essence ridding the body of all the toxins we are ingesting in the modern world.
Dont be fooled fast food pumped full of preservatives, ‘healthy smoothies’ containing more sugar than a donut, gluten in every meal, too much alcohol, too much caffeine along with too little sleep and too much stress is a recipe for disaster and something the body will adhere to for only so long. But yet this is common place for many and something we can easily slip back into over the festive period.
By giving your body the chance to live without additional foreign toxins means you can have the chance to attain that lean, strong physique whilst feeling great, looking vibrant and healthy and having energy to live a fulfilled day every day.
The Xmas period shouldn’t be treated differently.
Living a healthy clean lifestyle does not mean you are depriving yourself of ‘enjoyable food’, it is quite the opposite. You are restoring your body to a very natural state and most importantly reigniting the fire for it to be a fat-burning machine instead of a fat-storing one.
By excluding things like refined carbohydrates and sugar from your diet you begin to notice that you do not, naturally crave these things. You will have a broader more lively tastebud palate, making food even Tastier!!
Have your little cheat over Xmas but remember to keep the 80/20 rule and make the majority of your meals beneficial to your body and mind rather then having a negative impact moving forward.
Throughout the festive season make sure you plan ahead and stick with those goals you’ve set and stuck to the previous 11 months. Head into 2014 in a strong, lean and positive mindset otherwise you will be starting the year in a negative low energy state and that’s not a present to give yourself!
Keep checking for the regular tips over this Xmas period!
